daydreams

What follows is a very rough, unedited blurb of a stream-of-consciousness writing from my journal. Enjoy.

She walked through a patch of grass ankle deep into the pine forests. Around her, the smell of daffodils and pollen swept through the air. All around green trees stood proudly in the earth. Her brown hair waving softly on her cheeks as the wind blew a kiss to the morning. This was her secret place. A place where time and matter were not a thing of importance. Where she could go for hours on end without seeing another face and yet never feeling lonely. It was a true gift she felt, to never feel lonely when she was alone. For her own company was what she craved the most. Alone in the open air where everything was a shade of green and the sky was blue and cloudless. It was in these spaces that she could think most clearly; away from the judging vibrations of others and truly be herself. Along the path of white daisies, she skipped barefoot. Feeling the soft earth beneath her bare feet. For someone who loves so much to be clean, she was surprisingly fond of the dirt. The earth heals all with every element from the ground up. This she understood. Putting your bare feet on the earth and stretching your hands up to the sky like the branches of the great trees which surrounded her was what she needed to feel whole. That’s a funny thing, isn’t it? feeling whole. I feel that many people in their lifetime never feel whole. That’s why there is greed, rape, murder, theft, and war. We are taught that we are born unwhole and life’s journey will serve as our vessel to obtain a part of ourselves which we never realize is right inside of us all along. It’s such a shame that we are taught to accept this way of thinking. And what’s even worse is that we seldom question the paradigm. But she had. Nature causes you to question everything and in turn holds all the answers which you never knew weren’t buried deep in the Forrest but were right beneath your chin.  These are the things that scattered in her mind as she walked through the green open meadow, deeper into the trees.
