The Talking Wallflowers Blog was started in the month of May, around the time of my 18th birthday and High School graduation. This blog was created to serve as a personal online journal to document my thoughts, travels, and anything else that inspires me as I venture curiously into the world. As I have now graduated from the limiting world of high school and am free to fly, I hope you follow me in my adventures as I discover the world through fresh eyes. I’m currently a Creative Writing major college student living in Florence, Italy. Absorbing as much inspiration as I can from Florence and beyond all while sharing my journey with you. In case you were wondering, my name is Bella and I’m a curious and passionate 18-year-old from Florida with a wholehearted love for fresh flowers, books, outdoor adventures, travel, and Thai food.
The name “Talking Wallflowers” is symbolic of the community I wish to cultivate around the blog. The Talking Wallflowers is for women and girls of all ages to come to inspire and be inspired. We as females are all Wallflowers. Despite every setback and obstacle that has built a wall in front of us, we have grown right through the cracks. We grow in groups and we grow together, not allowing any amount of brick or concrete in our path to silence us. Use this blog as a space where girls come to support girls. Especially now, in 2018, our female voices need to be heard, our rights need to be acknowledged, and we need to empower each other to make progress possible. Use this blog as a place to discover lifestyle inspiration, good vibes, and creativity.
